Political Roundtable: News, Opinion and Commentary

As a Behavior Analyst, I have been watching the Presidential primary elections. I just have to say something about them now.

It has been very apparent that the Main News Media has overwhelmingly provided more positive coverage and commentaries for Barack Obama than Hillary Clinton. This has not been fair and balanced news coverage. Hillary Clinton was correct to state in the last debate in Ohio that she was given the majority of the questions to answer first.. This was true with the one in Texas, then after she said that, it happened in Ohio too. In the debates, Obama would basically respond AFTER Hillary, by saying that he mostly agreed with Hillary. Next Obama regurgitated what Hillary said with a few of his own words. This was unimpressive to me. Also, you could clearly measure that Hillary’s debate responses have been longer with stronger content than Obama’s.

I am a registered Republican, though I vote for who I feel would be the best candidate when voting individuals into office. I have actually voted for Democrats. I vote for who I think is the right one.

Obama’s platform of constantly repeating ” Hope” and “Change” is rather empty and weak propaganda. What comes to my mind is this ; Mr Obama, HOW is the change going to happen? With WHAT actions? With WHAT real experience do you have? WHY do you keep flim flamming on numerous issues? etc etc… I do not believe that he can answer these well.

If I could have voted in the NJ presidential primary on the Democrat side, I would have voted for Hillary Clinton. Not because she is a woman, but because she makes ALOT MORE SENSE than Obama. She also debates much better than him. She does not take sections of speeches from other political officials for her own speeches. She has PLANS. She has ideas to put into ACTION. She has ALOT MORE EXPERIENCE.

Obama’s “Hope and Change” - and that is comparable to John F Kennedy ????

JFK had PLANS. He put things into ACTION. He had ALOT MORE EXPERIENCE. He DID SOMETHING and truly INSPIRED our country. There is just NO comparison between the two. JFK was a REAL leader, with drive and backbone.

Obama ? Well, he just has words - Just words.

With the introduction of fear mongering hearkening back to the tactics formerly advocated by Karl Rove, Senator Clinton has shown how she reacts in a crisis. Her team is going all-out, not content to let the red phone ad be their only attack, they have spun 180 degrees to manage expecations about the March 4th primaries. Perhaps you recall after the debacle on the Potomac how Hillary cast down the gauntlet, saying they were ready to meet Obama in Texas? Well, they’re not even ready for a phone call.

…the most interesting moment in today’s Clinton campaign phoner with reporters. Responding to the release of HRC’s new TX TV ad, which asserts in no subtle terms that only she has the experience to deal with a major world crisis, and, relatedly, to keep your children safe, Slate’s John Dickerson asked the obvious question:

“What foreign policy moment would you point to in Hillary’s career where she’s been tested by crisis?” he said.

Silence on the call. You could’ve knit a sweater in the time it took the usually verbose team of Mark Penn, Howard Wolfson and Lee Feinstein, Clinton’s national security director, to find a cogent answer. And what they came up with was weak — that she’s been endorsed by many high ranking members of the uniformed

Take a listen…

The rest of the article is here, but before you go answer me this: if her top advisors are so ill-prepared for such an obvious question, just who do you want as the nominee for the Democratic party this autumn?

I started this campaign “season” thinking either of the two Senators remaining would make an outstanding candidate for the Democratic Party. I’m much less certain now in the case of Senator Clinton. If she wins the nomination she will have to earn back my respect - she’s playing dirty, frankly, and sounding desperate, and evidently advised by fools.

Normally, I’d be out to drinks on a Friday night. However, work was pretty evil today and after running errands I came back to finish up some stuff before going out later. While eating dinner I saw this and thus, the post.

I like Rick Reed. I really think he’s a nice guy. Now his campaign is crowing about being endorsed by this racist cracker.

Rick Reed is the only candidate for Travis County District Attorney who has had the courage to stand up and candidly tell the voters of Travis County that, if elected, he will uniformly seek imprisonment for life without parole, rather than the death penalty, in all capital murder cases.

Now If you’ll pardon me, I have a show to do and a fifth of Jamisons to choke down.

This is what really angers me…

I am honored to have the endorsement of Kinky Friedman, remarked Reed. Kinky and I have both given considerable thought to this issue, he as a potential 2010 gubernatorial candidate, and I as a candidate for Travis County District

OH REALLY, Rick? You’re honored to have the endorsement of a man who made a joke about African-American children AND ***ed up the Gubernatorial race last year, guaranteeing (with a little help from Team Bell and C4N3P) the re-election of 39%. If you’re HONORED to have the endorsement of this douche then I seriously have to question your judgment.

And I shit in Matzo’s hat.
