Rumors are circulating that Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal may be the Keynote Speaker at the upcoming Republican National Convention, Sept. 1-4 in style="font-style: italic;">
Halperin floats something that I've heard making the rounds today, too: That 37-year-old Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal will deliver the keynote speech at the GOP convention in St. Paul.
It's not veep, but the speech offers a high-profile platform traditionally granted to figures the party wants to highlight (It was Zell Miller and Barack Obama in 2004).
A source familiar with convention planning wouldn't confirm or deny that Jindal would fill the role this time.
I think Jindal would be a great pick! He is a fresh face and would really lift his profile nationally. He is the future of the GOP. If it turns out to be true, it's a great decision.
