So I also got the Muldoon robocall yesterday. (If you didn’t, it is available at Bearing Drift. Read the comments, too). Dude. Some points for the people behind these calls:
1. Calling on “black Friday,” the biggest shopping day on the planet? Calling after a too-long Presidential campaign, when people are sick to death of robocalls?
2. Bill Bolling not conservative? Bill Bolling is a conservative who lives in the real world, in which politicians often accept that they get less than a 100% score on how ideologically pure they are.
3. And speaking of not living in the real world, since some of the people involved in this Muldoon enterprise are followers of a certain failed presidential candidate, and I don’t mean John McCain… We have rejected you. Nationwide. Repeatedly. And we will continue to do so. We have “given you a chance” and the overwhelming majority of us are not interested. It’s not a matter of “getting out your message” or “giving us an alternative.” We’re Just Not That Into You.
What did the perpetrators of this robocall think - that Virginia Republicans would get the robocall, then jump up and say, “Thank goodness I got the call! Now we have a real alternative to the fiendishly liberal Bolling.”
Not happening.
