Caroline Bouvier-Schlossberg-Kennedy has a very spotty voting record.
She wants to be our Senator, but she has failed to vote in the very seat she desires. She has also failed to vote in many Democratic primaries. This speaks poorly of a commitment to the electoral process.
Records show Bouvier-Schlossberg-Kennedy did not pull the lever for any of her fellow Democrats in city primary races for mayor in 1989, 1993 and 1997 and 2005, which Republicans went on to win three out of four times in the general election. She missed the general election of 1994, which had the election of Daniel Patrick Moynihan trying to hold on to the seat she desires to fill now. She also missed the 2002 mid-term elections, where Republicans in a historic election improved thier number of seats in congress during a first term of a president of the same party.
Most of the time, she voted, aides said. A review has found that of the 38 contested elections since 1988, Kennedy skipped about half
On another note Ms. Bouvier-Schlossberg-Kennedy dined with the Rev. Al Sharpton at famed Sylvias restaurant in Harlem. The two had a lunch of grilled chicken and collard greens. During that interview, Ms. Bouvier-Schlossberg-Kennedy said:
“I come at this as a mother, as a lawyer, as an author, as an education advocate, from a family that really has spent generations in public service and the Princess of New York who is looking to claim her rightful throne” (I added that last part)
I think the problem with her non voting is she is too busy. If she is a mother a lawyer an author an education advocate and a princess of a family that has spent generations in public service. Maybe she should drop one of those activities to make time for her senate seat. Possibly drop being a mother. I am sure she has a plethora of nannies and I am sure she see’s being a lawyer as much too important. Maybe if she dropped being an education advocate she would actually have time to make it to senate votes.
